Join us for a profound and enlightening sharing conference with Elder Noel Milliea. This special event will be a unique opportunity to connect with and learn from a respected Mi'kmaq elder, who will share his wisdom, experiences, and insights on cultural heritage, healing, and the path to reconciliation.

About the Event:

Elder Noel Milliea is known for his deep respect, and his ability to recognize the purity of spirit within all of us. He speaks with respect, wisdom, honesty and truth. During this conference, he will discuss "WHAT REALLY HAPPENED: Mi'kmaq & Acadian Relations Through History." This enlightening discussion will cover:

  • The historical interactions between the Mi'kmaq and Acadian people
  • Key events and turning points that shaped their relationship
  • Lessons we can learn from this history to foster reconciliation today
  • The importance of cultural safety and healing in building strong communities

In addition to this, Elder Noel will introduce "The Medicine Wheel," a comprehensive 12-week program that will be offered at the centre starting in September. This program will explore:

  • The foundational teachings of the Medicine Wheel
  • How to apply these teachings in daily life for personal growth and healing
  • The interconnectedness of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health

This event is open to everyone who seeks to learn, grow, and participate in a dialogue about cultural understanding and mutual respect. Whether you are looking to deepen your knowledge of Indigenous traditions or find inspiration for your own path, this conference promises to be a transformative experience.
